In this part 7 of “The Automotive Sales Training and Management Series,” we’ll discuss how you utilize every opportunity to achieve success.
Success, real success, never presents itself. You have to create it. You have to create it by building the perfect environment for opportunities to present themselves. In order to do get the sale, you must take these 4 easy steps.
1.) Be Committed
2.) Have Laser Focus
3.) Have a Plan
4.) Be aggressive
Every customer that walks in is a new opportunity to get a sale. You have to create the right environment for that sale to succeed. When the customer walks in, they’re automatically on the defensive. They’re worried about being tricked into spending too much for something that they didn’t even plan on getting in the first place.
It’s up to you to create an environment where the customer feels comfortable with who you are, the service you’re providing, and at ease with the car they wish to buy, not the car you want to sell, but the one they want to buy. Commit yourself to providing excellent knowledge and great service not just part of the time but all of the time.
Be focused on accomplishing your task. You have one customer’s attention, make sure to keep that attention and interest. Then, you must always make sure to have a plan. Never go into anything without a plan that can keep you on the path to success. Lastly, you need to be aggressive. I don’t mean be aggressive toward the customer but towards doing whatever it takes to get that customer satisfied, driving off the lot in their new car.
Again, the opportunity that presents itself is not an automatic or easy success. Getting that sale doesn’t happen by itself. It’s up to you to seize that opportunity by giving it your all and providing the customer with no other option but to say, “Yes.” That can happen, but first you have to invest in yourself and these four simple steps will help in the automotive sales training that will fast-track you to sales success.
